What is Vizag’s Biggest Tourist Attractions

Visakhapatnam is lovingly known as ‘Vizag’ and is called the ‘Jewel of the East Coast.’ It’s a prominent beach city which is present on the Eastern coast of India. Vizag has also been a big part of history before and after India’s Independence. It was one of the biggest ports since British times and continues to be one of the major ports of India.

But it’s not just that. This place is blessed with the most amazing shoreline and has beautiful beaches to explore. That is why it is one of the favorite tourist destinations in India with the best hospitality services.

Let’s have a look at some of the tourist destinations to understand its importance.

When the name Vizag comes up, the first thing are the beaches.

Beaches

This place is blessed with beaches. There are not one or two but twelve, yes, twelve beaches in Vizag. They are namely,

  1. R.K Beach (Ramakrishna Beach)
  2. Bheemli Beach
  3. Tenneti Beach
  4. Rushikonda Beach
  5. Mangammari Peta Beach
  6. Divis Beach
  7. NTPC Beach
  8. Yarada Beach
  9. Appikonda Beach
  10. Gangavaram Beach
  11. Dolphin’s Nose
  12. Harbour Beach

Each one of these has its speciality. For example, if you are looking to spend some time on the beach with family or friends, R.K Beach would be a great option, as the view is fantastic. If you are looking to have a bath in the sea, Rushikonda would be a good option as it has a shower and proper washroom facilities along with adventure games and activities. The other beaches like Yarada beach and Divis are popular photographic beaches. The Dolphin’s nose is one such unique place which, when viewed from the city, looks like a dolphin’s body/a resting dolphin.

Where else would you find such diversity in the beaches itself?
